What’s changed?
SpendLogic has updated the Search Reports screen to improve filtering, sorting, and overall usability.
These enhancements make it easier to find reports, understand which filters are applied, and navigate results more efficiently.
Key Updates
Simplified Search Layout
- The filter section previously shown above the table has been removed
- Search and filtering are now handled directly within the report table
- Applied filters now appear under Search Reports so users can quickly see what has been selected
- Each applied filter includes an “x” so it can be removed individually
Updated Column Layout
- The Program column has been removed
- PO and Supplier are now displayed in separate columns
- The Type column has been updated with clearer naming and more detailed report information
- For report types that do not use certain fields, those cells will remain blank
Improved Filtering and Sorting
- Clicking a column header now opens a filter window
- From the filter window, users can:
- Sort results
- Search within available values
- Select one or multiple filter values
- Remove filters
- Date columns now support Start and End date filtering
- Default sorting is now set to Updated, Newest to Oldest
Multi-Select Filter Options
The search screen now supports multi-select filtering in key areas, including:
- Type
- Checkmark/Status
Status filtering now includes:
- Complete
- Incomplete
- Finalized
Updated Type Options
The Type filter has been updated and now includes:
- Documentation Folders
- Price Analysis (Competitive)
- Price Analysis/SJ (Non-Competitive)
- Commerciality
- Data Extracts (formerly known as CPSR Reports, now located under New > Data Extract)
When Data Extracts is selected, the other Type options are disabled so results stay focused on that report type.
Updated Report Labels
To improve consistency across the search screen:
- PO Report now displays as Price Analysis/SJ
- Separate line-item report entries are no longer returned as separate results
- The Type column may now show additional detail about the type of price analysis performed
Examples may include:
- Best Value
- Lowest Price
- Historical
- Market Comparables
- Published Price List
- Parametric
Filter Window Improvements
- The filter window has been cleaned up to remove extra white space
- Filter lists support scrolling when there are many values
- The modal is more centered and easier to use
- For the Author column, the list may populate differently to help users find names more easily
Additional Search Improvements
- Data Extract-related naming has been updated in related areas of the platform
- Certain expandable row behavior for IDIQ items has been restored
- Search results have been improved for Data Extract visibility and related report types
Does this change how reports work?
No. These updates improve how reports are searched, sorted, and displayed, but they do not change the underlying reports themselves.
Tips for Using the Updated Search Screen
Click column headers to filter
Filters are now built into each column, if something looks like a header, it’s likely clickableWatch for active filters
If results look off or empty, check the filters at the top, something may still be appliedUse multi-select to narrow results faster
You can select multiple values within a filter to quickly refine resultsStart broad, then narrow down
If you’re not seeing what you expect, remove filters and reapply them step by stepCheck “Type” for more detail
The Type column includes more specific information to help you quickly understand resultsRemember filters stay applied
Filters remain even if you leave the page or log out, so double-check when returning Use the Status (✔)Filter for quick checks
