FAR 52.209-6, Debarment (Effective 01/17/2025)

SpendLogic would like to remind clients and procurement professionals to review and update their policies and procedures at least on an annual basis.  The USG has been making updates to the regulations, not to mention the Executive Orders that have been issued and/or rescinded, and we want to be sure your policies and procedures conform with those changes.   

Effective January 17, 2025, FAR 52.209-6 was updated as follows:

FAR 52.209-6, Protecting the Government's Interest When Subcontracting With Contractors Debarred, Suspended, Proposed for Debarment, or Voluntarily Excluded

The heading of this clause was updated as well as (c), (d), and (d)(4) as follows:

(c) Removing from paragraph (c) “suspended, or proposed for debarment by” and adding “suspended, proposed for debarment, or voluntarily excluded, by” in its place;

(d) Removing from paragraph (d) introductory text “or proposed for debarment” and adding “proposed for debarment, or voluntarily excluded” in its place;

(d)(4) Removing from paragraph (d)(4) “suspension, or proposed debarment” and adding “suspension, proposed debarment, or voluntary exclusion” in its place
