What’s changed?
SpendLogic now allows only Company Administrators to create new supplier records and edit existing ones. This update gives companies more control over supplier information and helps keep supplier data accurate and consistent.

How do I manage supplier records?
Edit an Existing Supplier:
- Select Manage Suppliers
- Click the pencil icon next to the supplier
- Make your changes
- Click "Save"
Create a New Supplier:
- Select Manage Suppliers
- Click New
- Enter the supplier information
- Click "Save"
Administrator Controls
Only users with the Company Administrator role can create new suppliers or edit existing supplier records.
If a user does not see the Manage Suppliers option, they do not have the required role assigned to their account.

Q: Why can’t I edit supplier information?
A: Only Company Administrators have access to manage the Supplier Database.
Q: Can multiple Company Admins manage suppliers?
A: Yes. Any user with the Company Administrator role can create and edit supplier records.
Q: What if I’m not a Company Administrator but need a change?
A: In that case, you’ll need to route the request through someone on your team who has Company Administrator access. If you do not know who that is, email help@spendlogic.com and we can provide you with that information.
Q: Where do I find the Manage Suppliers option?
A: For those with the appropriate permission, the Manage Suppliers option is available as a dropdown under the User's name in the upper right corner of the SpendLogic screen.

A: If you do not click Save, your changes will not be applied.
Q: Will updating a supplier automatically impact existing workflows or approvals?
A: No. Updating a supplier in the Supplier Database does not automatically impact existing workflows or approvals. Changes only require resubmission if you Reopen and Edit a previously approved DF.
Q: How does this impact my day-to-day use of SpendLogic?
A: For most users, nothing changes in how you use supplier data, only how it’s maintained behind the scenes.
Q: Why is this change helpful?
A: Limiting supplier maintenance to Company Administrators helps reduce unintended changes and supports more consistent supplier data between the SpendLogic Supplier Database and the company's vendor management system.
